Visit The Nursery

Welcome! We look forward to taking you, your child, and any other family members on a guided tour of our nursery. You’ll be able to get a feel of our setting and we’ll answer any questions you may have.

Registration

Is our nursery the right fit for your child?
If so, you’ll need to complete the essential registration paperwork to secure your child’s place with us.

The Journey Begins

Once your child’s place has been confirmed, we will be in touch and their learning journey with us can begin.

Settling In

Our primary aim is to ensure all children feel safe, stimulated, and happy in our nursery. Likewise, we want parents to have confidence that their child is in safe hands and to understand their role in their child’s development.

Just before your child starts with us, they will be given a series of bespoke settling in sessions. We use these to help create a smooth transition into our nursery. During these sessions, your child will be assigned a key person who will spend time getting to know you and your child. A bespoke settling in schedule will be created between you and the allocated key person.

First Day

At The Grove Daycare Nursery, we respect and value all families that enter our doors. We understand there will be a mixture of emotions on your child’s first day, therefore we recommend a quick and comforting goodbye before leaving your child with our expert team of practitioners. You are more than welcome to call in to the nursery at any time during the day to find out how your child is getting on.

We will give you a list of things to bring on your child’s first day, but if you have any questions about anything, please do get in touch with us.

The Journey

We believe that for children to receive the highest quality care in their crucial early year’s education, it is essential for staff and parents to develop a profound and communicative partnership.

We will keep you informed of your child’s day at the nursery from activities, food eaten and nappy changes to key learning moments. You will be kept up to date through our daily chats, online learning journal and we will discuss their development in more detail with you at parent meetings. We also appreciate you sharing any special moments outside of nursery hours with us too.
