🌈 Supporting BBC Children in Need; Together We Raised £2,000! 💛
At The Grove Daycare Nursery, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow, learn, and shine, no matter what challenges they may face. That belief was at the heart of our recent fundraising efforts for BBC Children in Need, and we are so proud to share that together we raised an incredible £2,000.
BBC Children in Need supports vital projects across the UK for children and young people facing poverty, mental health challenges, grief, and many other difficulties. With the charity only able to fund 1 in 6 organisations that apply for help, every pound truly matters, and our nursery community stepped up in the most wonderful way.
🌈 A Week Full of Colour, Smiles, and Kindness
Throughout the week, our children came dressed in their brightest, most cheerful outfits, filling the nursery with colour, laughter, and positivity. They took part in fun fundraising activities while learning an important lesson about kindness, empathy, and helping others.
It was a joy to see the children so engaged and excited to support such a meaningful cause. .
🎟 A Raffle Made Possible by Our Amazing Community
Our raffle was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of our families and local businesses. Prizes included children’s hampers, small gifts and treats, theatre tickets to Cinderella at Woodville Halls, a family photoshoot, balloon décor discounts, and vouchers for local hair and nail salons — to name just a few!
The prize draw on Friday was a real highlight of the week and brought plenty of excitement and smiles.

Raising £2,000 is a fantastic achievement, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness, generosity, and support of our nursery families and wider community. Your contributions will help fund projects that ensure more children have someone who listens, supports, and believes in them.
