Happy World book Day
Where every child’s story begins
On World Book Day 2026, our nursery transformed into a real-life storybook, filled with wonder, excitement, and a touch of magic.
Our favourite characters leapt from the pages as children arrived dressed as their beloved storybook heroes, creating a truly magical scene.

As the day unfolded, we journeyed through many different tales. We explored bright colours with Elmer, wandered through the woods with Little Red Riding Hood, and travelled alongside Paddington on his adventures, before tiptoeing into the deep, dark woods to meet The Gruffalo through creative play.
Soon, it was time for tea, just like in The Tiger Who Came to Tea where the children enjoyed a delightful pretend tea party and sensory experiences. We then followed the journey of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, counting, exploring colours, and learning the names of different foods. There were surprises along the way too, as we opened boxes inspired by Dear Zoo, guessing which animals might be hiding inside.

Outside, our garden became a magical “Once Upon a Time” land, where stories filled the air and children explored, acted, and created their own adventures.
